Today the Inquiry was made aware that the Chair to the Essex Mental Health Independent Inquiry will be Baroness Kate Lampard CBE. The announcement was made in Parliament by the Health Secretary, Steve Barclay, this afternoon (Monday 4 September 2023).
The Inquiry team looks forward to meeting and working with the new Chair, Baroness Lampard, and ensuring she has the information she needs to take forward the work of the Inquiry.
The Inquiry team will update our witnesses and stakeholders with further information in due course.
